Project Description

Popcorn

The perfect late-night snack, or maybe mid-day snack. Tastes delicious either time!

OVERVIEW

I’m a big fan of popcorn, any salty snacks really. I have a hard time stopping myself so I try to make popcorn less than regularly…I’ll let you define what that means.

I don’t always make popcorn with 3 different flavors, but I really enjoy to do so because it pretty much satisfies my cravings. It’s also super easy to do this.

Gather all your seasonings while the popcorn is popping and all you have to do is sprinkle them on and mix it up. Then DEVOUR it! …I mean, enjoy mindfully.

Easy Popcorn 3 Ways

Full Recipe

  • SERVES: 2-4
  • TOTAL TIME: 10 MIN
INGREDIENTS
  • 1/2 cup organic, non-gmo, popcorn kernels

  • 3 tbs coconut oil, melted, divided

  • 1 tbs coconut sugar

  • 1 tsp cinnamon

  • 3 tsp white vinegar

  • 2 tbs ghee, or more olive or coconut oil

  • 2 tbs olive oil, divided

  • 1 tsp italian seasoning

  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder

  • sea salt

INSTRUCTIONS
  • Heat a large pot over medium-high heat. Add 2 tbs coconut oil when hot and allow to melt.

  • When melted and hot, but not smoking, carefully add in kernels. Coever with a lid.

  • Shake pan around while kernels slowly begin to pop, encouraging movement and for all kernels to pop.

  • Popping soon be rapid and pot will fill with popcorn. Let kernels pop until you about 3 seconds in between pops after pot is full.

  • I usually judge readiness on sound and smell.

  • Separate popcorn into 3 bowls.

  • In one, drizzle melted coconut oil, sugar and cinnamon over popcorn, then shake around. In another, drizzle 1.5 tbs, or so, olive oil, oregano, parsley, garlic powder and sea salt to taste, shake and mix around. In the last bowl, drizzle rest of olive oil, spring white vinegar or use a small spray bottle to spray, and season with salt.

  • Adjust popcorn to taste, adding more oil and seasonings if desired.

  • I dare you to try and not eat all this popcorn in one sitting. Good luck 🙂
