Project Description

Cinnamon orange flavored bars bursting with fresh cranberries and white chocolate chips, the perfect holiday treat!
I remember the first time I tried the real Cranberry Bliss Bars from Starbucks.
I was on my way to go Christmas shopping with a few friends, we stopped at Starbucks and one of them decided it was a good idea to order AN ENTIRE box of these bars, not just one bar, but the whole thing! I had never had them but I knew I would love them, I love anything with cranberries and I especially love anything with cream cheese frosting and of course, sugar…the evil addicting ingredient.
I had one bite and it was over, I knew I’d be eating the whole bar (not box) and badly want more after. I refrained but I thought of them ever since, so here I am with a healthier version of these addicting bars!
They have a bright orange flavor with the perfect pop from the tart cranberries but it’s all evened out with sweet white chocolate, balance right?
I made mine gluten-free but this recipe is pretty flexible to use whatever you have already, but please feel free to reach out with questions on flours!
I hope you try these bars out, it’s so worth it!
Happy Holidays xx
Healthified Starbucks Cranberry Bliss Bars
Full Recipe
- MAKES: 6 bars
- TOTAL TIME: 30
INGREDIENTS
1/4 cup coconut oil, melted
1/4 cup almond butter (or more coconut oil)
1/4 cup maple syrup
1 egg
1 tsp pure vanilla extract
zest from 1 orange
1 cup almond flour**
1/2 tsp fine sea salt
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/3 cup frozen or fresh cranberries
2/3 cup white chocolate chips, divided
3 tbs dried cranberries, finely chopped
** all-purpose flour or all-purpose gluten free would work great too. I think oat flour would also work but try with a little less than a cup if you do.
INSTRUCTIONS
Preheat oven to 325F and line a cake pan with parchment paper. An 8×8 pan will work too!
In a medium bowl, whisk together coconut oil, almond butter, syrup, egg, vanilla, and orange zest until smooth.
Add in the flour, salt, baking soda, and cinnamon then stir to combine. Drop-in cranberries and 1/2 of the chocolate chips and further combine just until evened out.
Press dough into the cake pan to even out, it will be thick and almost like a cookie dough.
Bake for 20 minutes for until the edges are just brown.
Remove from oven and let cool completely.
When cool, melt the rest of the white chocolate chips in a small saucepan or the microwave for 20-second increments. Use a spoon to drizzle melted chocolate over bars. I did this after I cut them into 6 triangles. If you’re even more prepared, you’ll have a piping bag or a more clean way to drizzle the chocolate over the bars, but you could also pour it all over and spread over the whole thing if you want!
Sprinkle over the chopped dried cranberries and enjoy!!
